Westworld, the complex HBO sci-fi drama from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, returns for its fourth season on Sunday, June 26.

In the UK it will be available on Sky and NOW TV in the early hours of Monday 27 June.

As always, Westworld Season 4 plot details are being kept under wraps for now. However, we do know that it takes place 7 years after the dramatic ending of Season 3 and that it will also include a new world based on 1930s American gangsters.

An official HBO synopsis described the series as “a dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on Earth.”

Who is Starring in Westworld Season 4?

Evan Rachel Wood appears as a new character named Christina. Wood is best known for appearances on True Blood, Mildred Pierce, and Frozen II. She is next seen opposite Daniel Radcliffe in the music biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, in which she plays Madonna.

Thandiwe Newton returns as Maeve. Newton has appeared in films such as Reminiscence, Solo: A Star Wars Story, W. and The Pursuit of Happyness while on television she is known for roles in Line of Duty, Human Resources and The Slap.

Jeffrey Wright reprises his role as Bernard Lowe. Wright has recently appeared opposite Robert Pattinson in The Batman and opposite Daniel Craig in No Time to Die; on television he is known for playing Valentin Narcisse on Boardwalk Empire.

They are joined by James Marsden (Sonic the Hedgehog, 30 Rock), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Luke Hemsworth (Neighbours) and Ed Harris (Apollo 13, The Truman Show).

Who writes and directs Westworld?

Westworld was founded and is directed by husband-and-wife screenwriters Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Nolan works frequently with his brother Christopher on screenplay credits for The Dark Knight and Interstellar, while Joy directed Hugh Jackman’s sci-fi noir Reminiscence.

It is based on a novel by Michael Crichton, who is perhaps best known as the author of the original Jurassic Park novel.

When and how can I watch Westworld Season 4?

Westworld Season 4 begins Sunday, June 26 in the United States.

The HBO series can be viewed in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV. The series will be simulcast with its HBO broadcast, meaning the episodes will air at 2am GMT in the UK. They can be viewed on demand throughout the day from then on, or can be viewed at a second showing at 9pm.

New episodes are broadcast weekly.

How many episodes does Westworld season 4 have?

Westworld Season 4 has a total of 8 episodes (two fewer than the previous seasons, which each had 10 episodes).

We don’t yet know how long each episode will be – historically, some episodes of Westworld have been feature-length, and that could prove to be the case in this series as well.

Will there be a Westworld Season 5?
