What did Kane say about Brady?

Speaking about how the GOAT of NFL helped convince him that he could be a star in his own right, Kane said, “One thing that inspired me growing up was a Tom Brady documentary.

“I was on loan at another club and didn’t get into the team, it was that time – I was 18 – and it was like, ‘If I can’t play here, how can I play for my team? Tottenham?’

“I came across this documentary on YouTube, I think it was called ‘The Brady Six’, it was about how he got picked in the sixth round and then became what he has become – one of the greatest athletes of all time .

Will Kane aim for a career in the NFL?

While there are transferrable skills between soccer and American football, particularly at the field kick position, few players have crossed elite-level codes.

Kane remains interested in exploring that option, saying: “I feel like I might. I would definitely stand there.”

For now, Kane is focused on events at Tottenham and preparing for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar later this year.

He will head to the Middle East as skipper of the Three Lions and with Wayne Rooney’s all-time record 53 goals in his sights as he has 49 appearances from 69 appearances.

When asked about his emotions ahead of November’s global showpiece, Kane said, “I’m excited. The last World Cup was very special – we reached the semi-finals, the first semi-finals in 30 years.

“The country was pretty crazy, but of course we missed out on that one step. I’m really looking forward to this one.

“We have a great team, really good players, a really good coach and we’ve prepared well for this World Cup. Hopefully I can try to break that goal record while we’re there.”
