The official Andor trailer is out with exciting new footage and release date

The official trailer too Andor is here, and it promises a whole new direction for the war of stars Saga. Gritty, intense and action-packed Andor Diego Luna stars as a thief-turned-rebel spy Cassian Andor, who first appeared in 2016 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Andor takes place five years before the events of Villain One and follows the titular character as a thief drawn into the rebellion against the Galactic Empire. But there was a slight delay in the release date. Andors The Disney+ premiere has been pushed back three weeks to September 21. You can check out the trailer below.

“The Andor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover what he can make a difference. The series advances the story of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planet became involved. It is an era of peril, deceit and intrigue that Cassian will tread the path destined to transform him into a rebellious hero.”

Fan reactions were mixed when Lucasfilm announced one Villain One Prequel focused on Cassian Andor, but the situation seems to have changed now. Boba Fett’s book and Obi Wan Kenobi, Two highly-anticipated series that focused on fan-favorite legacy characters proved massive disappointments, proving that mere fan-service won’t suffice viewers. And take a side of the mandalorian, Andor aims to tell an original story about new characters in a time that hasn’t been explored much in live action war of stars movies and shows.

Andor will be unlike any other Star Wars TV show

Andor looks like a breath of fresh air focused and engaging on intriguing new characters Rogue One dark narrative style. However, as the trailer suggests, there will also be plenty of adventure and space battles, as well as espionage and deception.

Andor was created by Tony Gilroy, a Hollywood veteran known for writing some of the best thrillers of the last century: the bournes Trilogy, Michael Claytonand Game Status. Gilroy seems like the perfect choice to flesh out Cassian Andor’s backstory. Andor has already been renewed for a second 12-episode season, with much of the cast and crew returning. Diego Luna has also hinted at a very different tone for the series and an incredible transformation for his character, who is not yet the man to sacrifice himself Villain One. Luna told Total Film:

“We find him in a place where he is unaware of his ability to transform or be a part of change or make such a sacrifice, but he’s the man who’s been out of the loop since he was six years old fight emerges. He’s very interesting, dark, wounded person. You won’t believe he’s capable of what he does in Rogue One.
