Sarah Michelle Gellar joins Teen Wolf spin-off Wolf Pack

That Teen Wolf: The Movie Panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con confirmed that the new teenage wolf spin-off series wolf pack is led Sarah Michelle Gellar. After spending her younger years fighting vampires as Buffy Summers, Gellar will now step into werewolf territory for the new series. Corresponding meetingOn the series, Gellar’s character is “recruited by authorities to capture the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire that may also have led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.”

wolf pack will be based on the books by Edo Van Belkom, which “follow a teenager, Everett (Armani Jackson) and a girl, Blake (Bella Shepard), whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature. Wounded in the chaos of the attack, the teens find themselves inexplicably attracted to each other and to two others, Luna and Harlan (Chloe Rose Robertson and Tyler Lawrence Gray respectively), who were adopted by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire sixteen years earlier. As the full moon rises, all four teenagers come together to solve the mystery that binds them together – the bite and blood of a werewolf.”

The Teen Wolf franchise finally continues with Teen Wolf: The Movie

While the announcement of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s engagement in wolf pack was an exciting addition to the teenage wolf Panel, especially with the actress, the main event was the release of the trailer for Teen Wolf: The Moviewho finally picks up where the popular series left off when it was cancelled.

teenage wolf originally ran for six seasons beginning in 2011, and its cancellation was not well received by the legion of fans who had embraced the show. Now, the sequel film will see the return of pretty much the entire cast, and is expected to pick up on some of the storylines the series left behind. The synopsis for the film reads:

“A full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrible evil has appeared. The wolves howl again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager but still an alpha, can both gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to take on what may be the most powerful and deadly foe they have ever faced.”

Tyler Hoechlin returns as Derek Hale in the film and is joined by Tyler Pose as Scott McCall, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Crystal Reed as Allison Argent, Orny Adams as Coach Bobby Finstock, Linden Ashby as Sheriff Noah Stilinski, JR Bourne as Chris Argent, Seth Gilliam as Dr. Alan Deaton, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Ryan Kelley as Deputy Jordan Parrish, Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall and Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar.


That teenage wolf Projects currently have no release date, however Teen Wolf: The Movie is expected to stream on Paramount+ later this year, and it has been hinted that more projects will be discussed at Paramount in the future.
