Quantum Leap reboot details revealed

quantum leap, the classic sci-fi TV series starring Scott Bakula, is getting a reboot, and now new plot details have been revealed. Per meetingThe NBC show’s first logline stated that it’s been “30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett (Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap Accelerator and disappeared. A new team has now been assembled to restart the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.”

In a new press release about the show, the network adds, “Everything changes, however, when Ben (Raymond Lee) takes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team to solve the mystery of why he did it. By Ben’s side during his jumps is Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who appears in the form of a hologram that only Ben can see and hear. She is a decorated Army Veteran who carries out her job with level-headed precision. At the helm of the top-secret operation is Herbert “Magic” Williams (Ernie Hudson), a no-nonsense career military man who must answer to his bosses, who will not be happy to learn of the breach of protocol.

The synopsis continues: “The rest of the team at headquarters consists of Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who leads the artificial intelligence department ‘Ziggy’, and Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee), who leads digital security for the project . As Ben leaps from life to life to fix what once went wrong, it’s clear that he and the team are on an exciting journey.But Addison, Magic, Ian, and Jenn know that if they… want to solve mysteries surrounding Ben’s jump and bring him home, they must act quickly or lose him forever.”

Hudson is best known for playing Winston Zeddemore in the original ghostbusters films, a role in which he recently reappeared Ghostbusters: Life After Deatha sequel to Ghostbusters II. In an exclusive chat with PopCulture.com ahead of the film’s release, Hudson opened up about reuniting with former co-stars Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts for the new film. “For me, fitting in with Danny and Bill was really spiritual,” he said.

Hudson added, “I didn’t realize how much this movie had impacted my life over the last 35 years and that’s something, it’s very specific and these are people that I specifically share that with. But being together for all of us was just really touching.” At this point, the quantum leap Reboot has no announced premiere date.
