Since it is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor: Love and Thunder definitely has some surprises in store. However, one of the film’s alleged cameos was obviously not meant to be. Rumor has it that Peter Dinklage would be reprising his Marvel role in Thor: Love and Thunder.
In the months before Marvel’s Thor: Love and ThunderRumors online have suggested that Peter Dinklage would play Eitri, the dwarf king, in the film. As fans recall, Dinklage originated the role Avengers: Infinity War.
Thor, Rocket and Groot visited Eitri on Nidavellir to get a new weapon to fight Thanos. Unfortunately, Thanos had already visited the planet and killed its people except for Eitri after getting what he wanted – an Infinity Gauntlet. Eitri was able to help Thor create Stormbreaker despite Thanos destroying his hands. However, this was the last time fans saw him in the MCU.
Dinklage fueled rumors that he would be starring Thor: Love and Thunder after appearance on the Empire Podcast. He said, “Well, there’s another one Thor movie there, right? This Taika came out [Waititi]is directed. But I said nothing. I did not say anything. If you die in a Marvel movie, it doesn’t mean it’s your last Marvel movie.”
Although it sounded like Dinklage’s Marvel character would appear in it Thor: Love and Thunderwe’re here to burst everyone’s bubble.
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ star Christian Bale claims Marvel cut Peter Dinklage’s scenes from the film
In conversation with Prensa Escenario, Thor: Love and Thunder Star Christian Bale confirmed that two stars who filmed scenes for the Marvel movie didn’t make it into the final cut.
“I’ve worked with Peter Dinklage, it’s not in the finished film, but it’s fantastic,” said the actor. “I had to work with Jeff Goldblum. He’s not in the last movie either. As you can see, a lot of stuff ends up on the cutting room floor, even though it’s beautiful, brilliant stuff.”
So Dinklage wasn’t lying when he teased that Eitri would be there Thor: Love and Thunder. According to Bale, he shot scenes for the film, but Marvel cut them during post-production. And the studio also deleted Jeff Goldblum, who played the grandmaster on it Thor: Ragnarokof the Thor Consequence.
Hopefully when Marvel releases Thor: Love and Thunder On 4K, Blu-ray and DVD they contain the deleted scenes with Eitri and the Grand Master.

The Guardians – Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Vin Diesel as Groot – will also appear in the film.
Thor: Love and Thunder Premieres exclusively in cinemas on July 8th.
