Jen Walter’s world is turned upside down after a freak accident gives her superpowers.
Summary: in the A normal amount of anger Jen Walter’s world is turned upside down after a freak accident gives her superpowers.
When preparing for a court case. Top Lawyer Jennifer Walters recounts the day she first became She-Hulk and how it impacted her life. Along the way, we learn a few interesting differences between Jen and Bruce when it comes to being in control of when they knock out Hulk. The biggest thing is that it only takes a normal anger for Jen to change. What’s more, she can seem to switch back and forth between her normal and bulky self without having to go to sleep or practice mindfulness techniques.
Tatyana Maslany she settles into her role as Jen Walter pretty quickly and quirky is a word I would use to describe this character. The writing influences her performance a lot and it helps that most of her scenes are included in this episode Mark Ruffalos Bruce Banner and Smart Hulk. Maslany gets the best lines, of course, and one of the best lines is when Jen points out that women are scared and quite often angry. Especially when it comes to dealing with inappropriate behavior from men who don’t respect their boundaries. The chemistry between Maslany and Ruffalo throughout the episode is fun and makes for a lot of great comedy moments. The scene where they beat each other up is hilarious. There was a point where Jen wanted to grab Hulk’s foot and I half-hoped she’d throw him through the air like an Olympic hammer thrower.
As for the rest of the cast. We don’t really get much from them. But I’m sure that will change in the coming weeks.
A normal amount of anger was a pretty solid opening episode. I really enjoyed learning some of the differences between Jens Hulk and Bruce’s Hulk. It will be interesting to learn more about Jen’s world in the coming weeks and to see what type of villains or villains she will face off against. We already have a pretty good idea of that with the inclusion of Timo Roth in the cast as Emil Blonsky, who Hulk competed against The incredible Hulk Movie.
