Kevin Feige recently teased when fans will get more insight into the next big Marvel Cinematic Universe saga.
By the time we got to the end of Phase One, we had a pretty good idea that Marvel Studios was building towards Thanos and the Infinity Stones. Avengers: Endgame wrapped up the Infinity Saga a few years ago, leaving fans wondering where Kevin Feige is taking the Marvel Cinematic Universe next.
Marvel’s Multiverse Saga?
Related to Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Homeand Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessIt appears that the next Marvel Studios saga will focus on and lead to the multiverse Secret Wars. However, phase four is coming to an end soon, and unlike previous phases, we’re not culminating with one avenger Movie. With major conventions like San Diego Comic-Con and D23 on the horizon, Kevin Feige shared total movie that Marvel Studios will reveal more of their plans soon:
“As we near the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going. I think there have already been a lot of clues that are obvious to me, at least, as to where this whole saga is going. But we’re going to be tackling that a little more directly in the coming months to put a plan in place so that viewers who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”
Here’s the synopsis for Marvel’s next film: Thor: Love and Thunder:
The film follows Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey he has never known before – a quest for inner peace. But his retreat is interrupted by a galactic assassin named Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the annihilation of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer Mjolnir as the mighty one Thor. Together they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the secret of the godslayer’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn and Russell Crowe.
