Android 17 may have started out as a villain in Dragon Ball Z, but he has grown into one of the most powerful members of the Z-Fighters, winning the Tournament of Power and saving all the universes Universe 7 fought. At 17, who plays a major role throughout the Moro arc and has become a force in his own right, a cosplayer has taken viewers back to the days of Dragon Ball Z by mimicking the android’s first appearance.
Instagram cosplayer Elia Fery shared this new version of Android 17, bringing back the classic Android 17 look, which he has since abandoned since fighting alongside Goku and the other Z-Fighters and even starting his own family, the Dragon Ball Super viewers have yet to see with their own eyes: while characters like Gotenks, 18, Krillin and more are set to return for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, many fans have theorized that the film could be a stealth platform, to bring Cell back. the villain who nearly killed the android trio during the Cell saga. With trailers hinting at a mysterious capsule that appears to be bursting wide open, it’s definitely possible that Super Hero will bring back the big villain, especially since he’s one of the few characters from Dragon Ball Z that’s yet to be brought back from that Dig.
Dragon Ball Super recently announced that its next film, Super Hero, will be released worldwide this summer, with Crunchyroll handling distribution of the upcoming film around the world. While the film hits theaters in Japan this June, the exact North American release date has yet to be announced. The return of the Red Ribbon Army will have Gohan and Piccolo on the plate, with Android 18 being featured in the marketing material but no sign of 17 as the film nears. With the squad looking pretty stacked, it will be interesting to see if 17 shows up when it comes to the return of the criminal organization responsible for its creation.
