Gain a first insight into the society of the ART/Roundabout Theater Company revival 1776 as they ‘fiddle, twist and solve’ in the new Broadway production of the revolutionary musical from Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone.

Jeffrey L. Page and Diane Paulus, Artistic Director of ART, co-direct the production about the Founding Fathers shortly before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. After its premiere at ART, 1776 will relocate to Roundabout’s American Airlines Theater for a Broadway performance before embarking on a 16-city national tour in February 2023.

The company of the musical Cool, Cool Considerate Men is composed of an all-female, non-binary, transgender cast. They are Gisela Adisa as Robert Livingston, Nancy Anderson as George Read, Becca Ayers as Col. Thomas McKean, Tiffani Barbour as Andrew McNair, Allison Briner Dardenne as Stephen Hopkins, Allyson Kaye Daniel as Abigail Adams/Rev. Jonathan Witherspoon, Elizabeth A. Davis as Thomas Jefferson, Mehry Eslaminia as Charles Thomson, Joanna Glushak as John Dickinson, Shawna Hamic as Richard Henry Lee, Eryn LeCroy as Martha Jefferson/Dr. Lyman Hall, Crystal Lucas-Perry as John Adams, Liz Mikel as John Hancock, Patrena Murray as Benjamin Franklin, Oneika Phillips as Joseph Hewes, Lulu Picart as Samuel Chase, Sara Porkalob as Edward Rutledge, Sushma Saha as Judge James Wilson, Brooke Simpson as Roger Sherman, Salome Smith as Courier, Sav Souza as Dr. Josiah Bartlett, Jill Vallerya’s Caesar Rodney and Ariella Serur, Grace Stockdale, Imani Pearl Williams, Rose Van Dyne and Sabrina K. Victor serving as standbys.

The production has scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Emilio Sosa, lighting design by Jennifer Schriever, sound design by Jonathan Deans, projection design by David Bengali, and hair, wig and makeup design by Mia Neal. Co-director Page also choreographs.

First look at the KUNST production from 1776

David Chase is serving as music supervisor on the production, with Ryan Cantwell as music director. Orchestrations are by John Clancy. AnnMarie Milazzo is the vocal designer. Alfredo Macias is the Production Stage Manager and Genevieve Kersh and John Meredith are Assistant Stage Managers. Casting is by Stephen Kopel. Brisa Areli Muñoz is Deputy Director. Tamar Climan is supervising producer.
